The workout is a balanced blend of endurance training, muscle building, cardio, and ab work. It’s an extreme workout that is best for people who have no medical problems and who are in okay shape already.
The biggest cons I read in the p90x workout reviews were the fact that a person needed weights and a chin up bar to do the routines. Yes, weights and the chin up bar do increase the p90x results, but it’s possible to still get some benefit from the DVDs without them. Some people got really annoyed with Tony after a while, apparently he can be a bit too peppy.
Reading reviews is the best way to determine if you’re gong to get the p90x results you desire. I think the program is too extreme for many people, but the company clearly warns you that it’s an extreme workout.
