During the past year, the Department of Preventive Medicine of the health department of the Marina Baixa, has set as one of the fundamental goals, achieve an improvement in knowledge and adherence to care protocols that marks the World Health Organization.

At this point, it is recalled that the Regional Ministry of Health has promoted hand hygiene as one of the most effective measures in preventing nosocomial or hospital-acquired infections in hospitals in the public schools of the Comunitat Valenciana.

The department has 304 points in the alcohol solution is administered and that during the past year, more than 1700 liters dispensed in the hospital and specialty centers and more than 600 health centers.
According to the indicators of the service, 2009 was significant because of the decline in infection rates, which is why this year will continue to develop this action plan.
