Constipation: Recommended Foods
RECOMMENDED FOODS
- Milk and dairy: whole milk, skimmed or semi-dependent on individual needs, “but in particular, are more often encouraged to consume yogurt and other low fat dairy
- Meat, fish, eggs and dairy products: All at the frequencies that make the recommendations of a balanced diet.
- Cereals and potatoes: Potatoes (starch), as pasta and other cereals, prefer (bread, cereals and crackers, muesli) and limit the refined rice (astringent) to 1/la-respuesta-medica times per week, or better yet, combine it with vegetables (rice with peas, vegetable paella, etc.).
- Legumes: lentils, chickpeas, beans, beans, peas… It is recommended to combine only with potato or rice and vegetables.
- Vegetables: All but the flatulent, preferably a daily ration oil (salad).
- Fruit: Almost all, fresh, dried and cooked, with skin and well washed, except as explained in “food-limited.”
- Drink water, broth, tea and juices normal or comprehensive (and therefore pulp fiber, unlike normal) not bearing lemon, fruit smoothies …
- Fats Olive oil and seeds (sunflower, corn, soy), butter, margarine, better oil and nuts.
FOODS ALLOWED (and occasional moderate consumption)
- Milk and dairy products: condensed milk, chocolate, cream or milk enriched with cream.
- Fatty meats, meat products and offal, preserved fish, salted or smoked.
- Cereals: Bread freshly baked baguette type and undercooked pasta (ferment in the stomach and create discomfort), or filled cookies dipped in chocolate or sugar solutions, etc..
- Vegetables: those that are cooked with animal fat ingredients (chorizo, blood sausage, bacon, etc.).
- Vegetables: Avoid flatulent as artichokes, cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, peppers, cucumber, radishes and rabanetas, onions, leeks and garlic as tolerated, and the carrot (for its astringent nature, only temporarily) and purees past by the Chinese or food mill, because in this way the fiber is lost.
- Fruit: Fruit in syrup and candied fruits, quince fruit as astringent, grapefruit, banana, grated apple, lemon.
- Beverages: Tea (contains tannins and astringent), lemon juice, grapefruit, apple and alcoholic beverages.
- Fat: cream, butter, lard and tallow.
- Other: Chocolate (astringent), cakes and pastries stuffed with chocolate or dipped in sugar solutions, candy, etc..
- Sweetener: sorbitol, saccharin, cyclamate, aspartame.
LIMITED FOOD (eating sporadically or in small quantities).
