10 Tips to Lower Cholesterol

To reduce cholesterol, the key is diet and following a diet low in saturated fat is possible. This translates into the following tips:

1. Limit consumption of high fat meats and pates, fatty meats, organ meats, etc. also provide fat and cholesterol. You can take red meats such as pork and beef, provided they are pieces lean (no fat).

9. Avoid pastries, sweets, junk food, cured meats, precooked food because they are high in saturated fat and cholesterol.

10. Avoid butter and margarine and instead accompany your breakfast toast with a drizzle of olive oil.
